IDB BANK CHOOSES ZUZNOW TO DEVELOP AND DELIVER THE BANK’S FIRST MOBILE STRATEGY FOR ITS CUSTOMERS

Summary

IDB Bank of New York is a full service commercial bank ranked by Crain’s New York Business as one of the largest commercial banks in the New York area. IDB Bank provides domestic and international, personal and commercial banking services to its U.S. and foreign clientele through its east and west coast US offices.  Understanding the need to keep up with the latest digital and mobile trends the bank searched for the best solution to seamlessly and quickly develop and deploy its mobile strategy, without compromising on user experience and security challenges.

The Challenge

With a small IT department focused on improving and maintaining their infrastructure, no in-house mobile developers and strict security standards, IDB Bank NY mobile initiative was delayed. The IT department searched for tools and solutions that they could easily deploy with minimal efforts. Then, new requirements for mobile apps and mobile compatibility for the about-to-launch “Consolidated Statement” application arrived from the board of directors. The original “Consolidated Statement” application was built on the force.com platform and the bank had no access to the code nor APIs.

The Solution

At the end of 2015 the bank decided to run a PoC with the Zuznow platform on the “Consolidated Statement” application. After 48 hours a full functioning demo of the app was presented to the head of the IT and the bank’s management team.  Following the signing of the contract with the bank, the mobile presence of the “Consolidated Statement” application was ready to launch in less than two weeks.

IDB Bank NY was able to deploy a full omni-channel presence, providing its clients with full support for all devices – smartphones and tablets, iOS and Android – for both mobile web and native apps. Using the Zuznow platform the bank utilized a secured touch-ID login, as well as additional native features.

The Result

The Zuznow platform provided IDB Bank with the ability to create and deploy a premium mobile presence in less than 2 weeks, saving more than 90% in development costs, time to market and personnel involvement. Moreover, since the launch the bank has already made several changes to the original application, which were automatically incorporated to all mobile devices and channels without human intervention.

With more to come, the Bank is now offering a consistent and coherent mobile presence among all applications – bringing the ease of mobility to its customers.  Employing the Zuznow platform the bank has already experienced increase of usage of the app and enjoys good reviews on the App-store and google play.
